The group are still in their base at lake shore , all but Thraback who is still out on his own personal adventure. Aralon and Vandal have amassed a gathering of imps who work night and day to make their DrakeClaw ale under the strict supervision of Lorkan. 3 kegs are ready for us to take with us on our travels. Sildar is not exactly overjoyed with 20 imps flying around but he consolidates himself and continues with his work. Mushu has noticed that her scales are hardening and becoming stronger as well as her claws protruding more in battle... Lorkan calls the adventurers to the main hall where he addresses us all with his sickly charming countenance. “It has come time for your payment. The items you gained from Glasya were no mere trinkets. Yet Mushu and Saphira, you have had no dealing with this would you still want to get involved when you do not have to?” The two look at each other for a moment, but both agree to help the rest of the party. Lorkan then begins to tell us of Daggerdale, the Lake of Souls and the Island of Nosferatu. “You must find what was taken from Glasya, an ancient parchment, and bring it to me and your debt is repaid. Due to the Foreboading we cannot go their ourselves.” The group asks Lorkan questions as to what they should expect when reaching Daggerdale. “The Cult of Orcus has infiltrated the city, as have many others. You must find the doorway to the island, not all can go there. The Gith are known to be there, hopefully you encounter the more agreeable type. You may even meet the Raven Queen at the Lake of Souls but pray you do not find yourself in the lake.” “Daggerdale is a large city filled with many races and is somewhat of a melting pot yet it has its own dangerous underbelly.” He begins to talk of Aralon’s deal and his sister, “Your sister Aralon, is my insurance policy and she has been subjected to the 6th level of hell for the past 20 years. Yes she is alive, but do you think she would still be sane?” Aralon is quietened by these words. Agrippiana senses that all he has said has been true. His arrogant and confident nature suggests that he does not feel the need to lie or hide his intentions. “If there are no more questions – I would suggest you make your preparations to leave.”

Before leaving for Daggerdale , Agrippia decides to check on the children in the orphanage to try and find out what happened to Sister Garielle. Saphira and Mushu accompny her. As they reach the orphanage the children come running to them. They are excited to see Mushu and ask her about her scales and claws. However, this is short lived as a thin waif-like female comes from the orphanage door. “Come now children back to your studies.” Agrippina walks up to her enquiring about Sister Garielle. The new owner is rather vague about this and does not take kindly to being questioned. “Can you not see the children are well fed and looked after? Can’t you see they are happy?” Despite Agrippiana’s best attempts to gain more information, the lady sternly states, “What of your mote of luck and that... shadow that follows you? Yes I know of it, I do not think you should see the children anymore, good day to you.” As Agrippiana stands speechless, the lady walks back to the orphanage closing the gates behind her. The three ladies rejoin the party to prepare for their travels. Saphira pens a note for Thraback, leaving it on the throne in the manor to let him know of our whereabouts. End of Part 1
