Άdus, still surrounded by the males Drows is introduced their elaborately dressed leader D’Karr. He questions Άdus as to why he is here in the Underdark. He is introduced to the Mind Flare named Pel and is even threatened with having his hands removed. Vandal and the others take the body of the child back to Janos. They tell him of the beholder and that the wizard had disappeared through the portal. Janos reminds them of the Night Hag, suggesting that she may be controlling the dreams of the beholder and because of their history, Agrippiana may be able to call out to her… D’Karr takes Άdus to their hideout. He finds himself in an elegant dining room, seated at a long time with plates of food before him. Although initially nervous about trying the food, D’Karr assures him there is no poison. D’Karr knows of the mysterious page after going through his possessions. He tells him of the recent events in Ched – Nassad, of a rift in the very fabric reality causing the majority of the city to fall down the side of the rift, leaving it in ruins. Someone has opened a door to the Abyss. He talks of strange creatures by the dark lake, a two-headed demon and others fighting amongst themselves… D’Karr takes Άdus to one side, telling him of his knowledge of Vorn… He is also aware of other drow on the surface, of the two dark elves on their way to Phandelain… D’Karr and Άdus discuss how to introduce the party to D’Karr, he is very eager to meet them and expand his influence on the surface world, planning to take over the East Wing Trading Company… Άdus is forthcoming with information, telling him of the deal with Venomfang, the dragon under the city, the beholder and the portal. Agrippiana restlessly sleeps; the image of the dreaded hag appears in front of her, taunting her. The hag offers her the opportunity to speak to Άdus through his dreams in order to find out where he is. Despite her abhorrence to this, she is left with no choice but to accept.

The two converse with the two agreeing to meet in the sewers with the group and D’Karr, Άdus suggesting that Vorn should be disguised. The next day after Agrippiana tells the rest of the party what transpired, Vandal takes action. He runs to the guard house looking for Sturm in order to clear the name of the party of the many deaths at the ball. Under the influence of “Zone of Truth,” Vandal tells Ser Strum and the Justice of the Peace the events of the ball, of Bremin and the dealings of the East Wing Trade Company. He encourages them to follow him where he can show them the evidence and help take down the company for their evil dealings.
