Vandal, Thraback, Luna and Agrippiana can still hear a male voice calling to them asking for their help. Lukas notices the area they are standing is surrounded by bones and skulls covered with a thin layer of snow. Aralon picks one of the skulls up to examine is and notices claw marks showing that it was picked clean, likely by the harpies 12 Trees had previously warned the group about. Vandal and Luna make their way towards the pleading voice. They come to a ruin covered in fog with four turrets surrounding them. In the middle of this ruin is a large stone pillar. Here they see the man tied to his pillar badly injured and weak. The group join Vandal and Luna, noticing dwarf runes on the pillar. Vorn, not being able to see are hear the source of the voice fires an arrow at the pillar in frustration. Luna goes closer to the man who warns us that the harpies are playing with him and will return for him. As we get closer to assist him, he disappears! It seems we were the victim of a hallucination. We feel the ground shake below us, we all manage to jump to safety except Luna who collapses down with the floor. She attempts the climb out with the help of Thraback. But she is confronted by a terrible black ooze that bubbles and lunges at her. It moves up to attack Thraback and when he injures it with his trident it emits a hissing sound and leaves his weapons seemingly weaker... As this struggle is happening Lukas and Aralon hear a song, the most beautiful and mournful sound they have ever heard. As the rest of the group attack the 'Black Pudding' Vorn manages to shoot Vandal with his arrow injuring him fairly badly. Then Agrippiana is faced with the black ooze which permanently damages her armour much to her annoyance. The song heard by Lukas, Thraback and Aralon puts them in an almost trance. Vorn, having enough, deals the final blow to the black goop with his bow. Thinking that the worst is over, the group is set upon with four harpies. Winged woman like vultures, horrifying yet entrancing. Vorn again strikes quickly with his bow allowing Aralon and Luna to break out of the trance. Thraback however is not so lucky and walks straight over to the hole in the earth and falls down. Vorn takes down two of the harpies while Lukas kills another with his great sword. The last one left covers before us realising the tide has turned against her. She points toward the stone pillar, where the man had once been. She speaks to us, "The key us what you seek" Thraback, after climbing back up and freed from control, feels around the runes on the pillar. The pillar seems to change and shift before the group, the stone falls away to reveal a horn, big enough for a giant to use...
