The group continue to follow Janos, taking the word of Saphira and Mushu of his trustworthiness. He leads the party through the hidden side streets of Daggerdale, avoiding the masses of people gathering on the pier. They make their way back to his mansion with the five dragon statues adorning the walk to the door. The mansion has seen better days. The stonework Vandal sees is a mismatch of styles from long gone eras and has fallen into disrepair. Despite this, the inside of the building is adorned with many trinkets and artefacts from the city below Daggerdale. Janos invites the group to sit and listen to him. He tells them the statues we passed represent the five metallic dragons and that an emblem can be paced in each statue. Adus and Agrippiana take particular interest in an orb-like object. Janos tells them this is a replica of a Dragon orb, used to bind the will of a dragon. Janos has gathered these objects over many generations, trying to reclaim the former glory of the old kingdom, but he has not ventured there in many a moon. He tells the party of the old times when dragons walked the earth and then eventually the humans came, complicating things, as humans tend to do. The dragons were enthralled with the human lust for life, not unlike elves are too. From this, Draonics were born. They built the great city beneath but they were sterile, their lines could not continue. Although they lived long, they soon lost their interest in humans. In time, darkness came. Those remaining draconics sought out Tiamet, but she always has her own motives. Humans were sought, taken against their will to a hastily constructed temple in reverence of Tiamet. Here, twisted draconics are born. Slavery was rife, the city became corrupt and evil. Tiamets father Io, had enough and sent a mountain down upon the city, the lake here is the carter born from this. Draconia was destroyed that day and Janos is all that remains.

He emplores Mushu to take his place or to find someone suitable for he does not have long left in this world. Giles provides Adus with new attire, now that his role with the Red Wizards has been severed. Janos addresses Vandal, telling him that the green-robed wizard was here. He may well seek a dragon orb, twelve of which have been scattered and lost over time. He tells us that the green one entered the sewers with three of the twisted draconians. The statues represent the 5 metallic dragons, Gold, Copper, Bronze, Brass and Silver and that if their emblems are returned to these statues, it is said that Draconia will rise again. Bremen is likely a pawn, providing the humans for these rituals, but who has employed him? Janos beckons us downstairs where he turns to us, his shape changing and twisting. He takes off his dark robes to show ones of silver, finally morphing into an aged silver dragon. The group stand in awe before him. He urges us to enter the city below, find the dragon likely kept against its will and stop these twisted rituals. The group all rest and gather themselves before making the journey, Giles provides a room for each party member for the night. Before turning in Thraback asks Giles to send word to the fighting pit to hear about Edgar and Belock. It appeared that the fighting pits had been attacked, but the two were alive and well, much to the relief of the party.
