With the help of Tobin the group load of their cart with provisions and make the long journey to Daggerdale. On the way Vorn busies himself with making disguises for us all. Aralon and Vandal are mostly drunk. Agrippiana spends her time reading the book which contains all the conversations ever had in Daggerdale, The Whispers of Daggerdale, in the hope of finding something which will help them in their task. The group arrive to Daggerdale, the city is walled and outside is a caravan of people, seemingly active with fires and activity. Vandal sneaks into the camp while the rest of the group walk in to try and gather some information. We begin talking to a group of dark haired and skinned women sitting around a fire, cleaning and mending. They tell us they are refugees from Berovia and as such, are not allowed into the city. “We are from another plain, they fear us, think we are creatures of the night but we are not. I hope you have more fortune than us trying to enter the city.” The group decide to move on for now and make their way to the gates of the city. We approach the city and see many beggars and infirm outside the gates. Agrippiana does her best to quickly mend their wounds and give them some provisions. Aralon and Vandal ask one of the beggars for some information about the city. Aralon first gives him ten gold much to his shock. He tells us of the history of the city and how the lake was caused by the cataclysm. Vandal mentions the Zhentarim and he immediately clams up and warns Vandal. “If you have dealt with them before, they already know you are here. Noone knows where they are, but they find you. Be warned that Black Network has fingers everywhere, they have infiltrated every aspect of social life.” Vandal gives him 20 more gold and the he takes his new found riches gladly and leaves. We knock on the large iron gate and a hatchway opens with a dwarf asking us who we are. We have on our disguises and Agrippiana, calling herself Aggie uses Aralon’s surname Ferwyn not realsing that it would be recognised. “Oh your one of the Ferwyns! Haven’t heard head nor tail of them for 20 years, perhaps you’ll sing for us later eh?” Agrippiana, confused, plays along and the group are let inside. We enter a city packed will all sorts of people making their way through the crowded streets, shops, bazaars, libraries and apothecaries fill the street will all different sounds and smells. The group make their way to the Moody Boar in the hopes of finding Aranar. However as we find ourselves on the lake shore, it is still earlier hours and the doors to the inn are shut. As we are deciding what to do Vandal uses his ability to sense for Likens in the area. He immediately can sense around 30 werewolves in the city. We call to a ship hand to asking him about Aranar and the Moody Boar. We are told that he is a stern man who used to be a sailor in the Solamnic fleet bent on vengeance. As the man is talking however, he seems to recognise Saphira, “Who is the half elf with you? People trying to look like someone else always have something to hide.” The group manage to brush his enquiries but Saphira is left shaken. Vandal, having enough with talking, runs off the find the closest werewolves in the city, with Saphira and Aralon joining him. Agrippiana, Lukas and Mushu stay behind. Vandal, Saphira and Aralon fnid themselves in an alleyway faced by four Berovian men. One of them faces Vandal, begging for a piece of gold to feed himself. Vandal instead places a silver piece in his hand and clasps it into the hand of the Berovian squeezing tightly. The man tries to pull his hand away as the smell of burning flesh beings to emminate but Vandal grips tightly, reading himself for the battle to come. “Release me” growls the man, to which Vandal retorts, “I will release you from life itself!” Taking out his axe with his free hand as the man before him begins to twist into a werewolf before his eyes. Intense battle ensues causing much damage to the alleyway with Aralon’s penchant for using fireball, even when other party members are in the attack range! When the dust and Vandal carries away the head of the werewolf, the battle is over; the rest of the party hearing the commotion had joined the others. As they are talking about what happened in the alleyway, they hear voices coming. They quickly run and hide, with Aralon throwing his shrunken head which will allow him to hear the conversation of those coming. End of Part 2!
